Why Fullness?

The idea for Fullness came from a verse in the Bible, John 1:16, that says this:

From His fullness, we have all received grace upon grace.

Grace is an underutilized word these days.  It means getting something you didn’t earn from someone who loves you.  It’s over the top.  We see art as a grace best enjoyed in addition to a deeper, more fundamental grace: the love of God.  

In addition to this, we’ve also practically found that a theme and a deadline also help turn art ideas into art realities.  

This year’s specific theme is REALITY, and we are asking you to create art that answers the question: What is real?

Here’s what you need to do: 

  1. Read the Creative Brief on this year’s theme.  It’ll help the creative juices start to flow

  2. Read our artists devotional.  It’ll give you, the artist, considerations for you, the human.

  3. Then make something - or several somethings - and submit each one here
